Oslo, Norway

The flight from Tromsø to Oslo was fairly short, once we landed we checked into our hotel and dropped off our stuff. We then visited the Akershus Fortress which now has a museum dedicated to the German invasion of Norway in World War 2, and the Norwegian resistance. At least in my experience, the invasions of the rest of mainland Europe (especially France and Poland) is covered a lot more, so this museum gave a lot of new information. The fortress has also been used as a residence for the royal family, and an office for the prime minister.

From the fortress we were also able to see Oslo's city hall, which is also where they award the Nobel Peace Prize each year.

Next I went to the Vigeland sculpture park which contains over 200 sculptures and accidentally stumbled across a red carpet movie premiere.

The opera house in Oslo is beautiful, the architecture is really unique and the inside lobby looks beautiful as well.

The next day we went to a Viking museum, they had some ships on display that were used for viking funerals, some bones of vikings that had been discovered, wagons and sleds with intricate carvings, and a lot more. The craftsmanship of these artifacts was so incredible.

Our last stop in Oslo was the Magic Ice bar. It's a bar inside of a giant freezer where there are a bunch of ice sculptures, they give you gloves and a jacket to keep you warm.
